摘要
计算机技术的迅猛发展使空间信息系统工具愈加丰富、解决方案层出不穷,如逼真的三维视觉表现和对个体对象的分析等。然而,这些工具和解决方案常常不支持社区、城市和地区一级的评估,也没有在评估中考虑结合设计提案。本文提出的"地理设计"概念,能够提供一个统一的、具有技术能力又不依赖于任何平台的方法来解决大规模环境下设计和分析的一体化问题。"地理设计"支持对提案进行快速和反复的影响评估,也支持提案共享以产生改良的替代方案。开篇即给出"地理设计"的定义。地理设计初衷讨论了地理设计的背景和数字表现基础。随后,比较了计算机辅助设计(CAD)、地理信息系统(GIS)的工作流程和地理设计的工作流程,从而揭示出将地理设计内嵌于空间信息系统的优势。展示了一些早期的地理设计实际应用的例子。最后,给出了地理设计面临的问题、建议和未来的一些工作方向。
Computer technologies have evolved dramatically in providing numerous tools and solutions in spatial information systems by enhanced realism of 3D representations and post-analysis on individual objects.However,these tools and solutions usually lack capabilities to conduct neighborhood,city or regional scale assessments when taking design proposals into considerations.In this paper,"geodesign" concept is proposed to provide a unifying,technology-enabled but platform-neutral approach to address the issue of design and analysis integration in a large scale environment.This approach supports rapid and iterative impact assessment or sharing of proposals in forms which encourage the generation of improved alternatives.The first part of this paper gives the definition of "geodesign".The background and the fundamental issues of representations are discussed in the introduction.Then the conventional CAD and GIS workflows are compared with geodesign pipeline to reveal the advantages of embedding geodesign process in spatial information systems.Some examples of the early adoptions of geodesign are shown with practical applications.The paper concludes with some issues,suggestions and future work on geodesign.
