摘要
在诗歌翻译研究中,翻译伦理对诗歌翻译描写和翻译批评具有重要的影响。翻译伦理的内敛性要求译者坚持"忠诚"法则,注重原文的语言形式和美学特征,伦理的外倾向性表现为译者的个人意识和个人风格。沃森选译《诗经》既有外倾性伦理,又有内敛性伦理,两者之间虽有矛盾性,但在"和而不同"的哲学思想调和下,可以达到"和谐"统一,在诗歌翻译中体现"和谐"伦理。沃译《诗经》所追求的伦理观和翻译策略为中国翻译家英译中国古诗提供了有益的启示。
Translation ethics plays a vital role in the research on the description and criticism of poetry translation.The introversive ethics demands that a translator persevere the principle of loyalty,cherishing the linguistic form and aesthetic features,while the extroversive one reveals the self-awareness and the stylistic idiosyncrasy of a translator.Burton Watson＇s English translation of selected Book of Poetry shows both the extroversion and introversion in ethics,which,though conflicting somehow,can be unified under the compromise of the traditional Chinese philosophy of ＂harmony in divergent views＂.Thus the ＂harmonious＂ ethics will be represented in poetry translation.The Chinese translators in translating Chinese classics into English will benefit from his ethical views and translation strategy used in the translation of Book of Poetry.
