摘要
劳伦斯·布尔是美国生态批评领域重要的生态批评家和领军人物,他的生态批评"三部曲"在文学和环境研究领域产生了很大的影响,通过生态批评"三部曲",布尔形成了以"环境的想象"为特征的生态批评话语。本文试图将布尔的理论建树置于生态批评在全球蔓延扩张的大背景下,围绕布尔的生态批评"三部曲",对布尔的生态理论话语进行较为全面系统的探讨,分析其生态批评话语的主要特征,评价其学术价值和现实意义。
Lawrence Buell, one of the leading figures in the field of ecocritical studies, has exerted great influence on contemporary interdisciplinary studies in literature and environment. His trilogy of ＂ environmental criticism ＂, The Environmental Imagination, Writing for an Endangered World, and The Future of Environmental Criticism, has provided the theoretical underpinnings for an ＂environmental imagination＂. Focusing on the trilogy, this paper tries to frame Buell＇s theory within a context of the expansion of ecocriticism, and thus develop a more systematic understanding of Buell＇s theoretical reflections. Particular efforts are made to interpret the major characteristics of his ecocritical praxis, and comment on its academic value and realistic significance.
