摘要
组织冗余结构与哪些因素相关?组织应该维持更多的高流动性冗余资源还是低流动性冗余资源?本文对此进行经验研究。本文首先分析并假设9个因素与高流动性冗余资源(或低流动性冗余资源)之间存在相关性;然后选择我国制造业上市公司5年面板数据对假设进行检验。研究结果发现,其中6个因素与组织冗余结构显著相关。本文接着计算在这些因素约束下,每个样本企业的标准冗余结构,以及实际冗余结构对标准冗余结构的偏离。结果证实,适当的冗余结构偏离对企业绩效是有利的。这些结论对企业进一步认识和管理组织冗余具有重要指导意义。
Which factor may affect the structure of organizational slack? Which type of slack should organization maintain,namely high-discretion slack or low-discretion slack? This empirical study intends to answer these two questions.We analyze nine factors which may affect the amounts of high-discretion slack or low-discretion slack.Basing on the five-year panel data of listed firms in manufacturing industry in China,we confirm six factors have relationship with the structure of organizational slack.Then we calculate the standard structures of organizational slack using the regressing equation,and take absolute values of the residuals to measure deviation of structure of organizational slack.Finally,we find that appropriate deviation is good for firm’s performance.These results provide important implications for firms to recognize and manage the organizational slack.
