摘要
马基雅弗利主义是一种操纵他人、不择手段、谋取个人利益的人格特质。结构启动、工作卷入、控制点等变量调节着马基雅弗利主义对绩效的作用。马基雅弗利主义降低着人们的道德取向,但无助于社会经济成功。马基雅弗利主义是一种跨文化存在。未来的研究应开发马基雅弗利主义的内隐测量、使用元分析整合相关研究成果、引入高级统计技术以探讨马基雅弗利主义与绩效关系和加强马基雅弗利主义在中国的本土化研究。
Machiavellianism is named after the Italian statesman Machiavelli,and is now commonly accepted as a trait that is characterized by manipulating others for personal gains at all costs and by all means.Such variables as initiating structure,job involvement and locus of control moderate the effect of Machiavellianism on an individual's performance.Although Machiavellianism degrades the ethical-orientation,it does not help in attaining socioeconomic success.However,this selfish philosophy does find its existence in different cultures.In the Chinese context,future researches on Machiavellianism should focus on developing an implicit measurement,employing meta-analysis to incorporate the existing research conclusions,adopting advanced statistic techniques to explore the relationship between Machiavellianism and performance,and strengthening the indigenous studies based on the Chinese culture.
