摘要
本文从功能语言学对语言三大元功能的研究出发,分析了现有国内外二语作文评分过程中存在的问题,探讨了大学英语网考作文评分变量的科学合理性。本文认为作文评判标准须分层次,不同的层次给予不同的分值。作文的优劣既要考虑语言形式的正确性和语言内容的相关性,还有考虑语篇组织的连贯性。作文内容的相关性应该从社会文化这一宽泛的语境去考量。
Based on the three meta-functions in Functional Grammar, this paper analyzes the problems in ESL composition assessment and the rationale for composition assessment of Internet-Based College English Test. It is believed sensible to assess compositions from different levels and give each a different value. The correctness, relatedness as well as cohesion and coherence should be all taken into consideration when compositions are being assessed. The relatedness of a composition should be judged from a larger context of its society and culture.
