摘要
聚合物分散液晶材料(PDLC)是将液晶和聚合物结合得到的一种综合性能优异的显示材料。文中综述了热致诱导相分离、溶剂挥发引发相分离和聚合引发相分离的研究进展。其中,聚合引发相分离法具有聚合速度快、聚合过程容易控制、易工业化生产等优点,是PDLC技术的未来发展趋势。紫外光聚合相分离法可以独立地通过改变光照强度和聚合温度等来控制聚合物反应程度和液晶形貌,是聚合引发相分离法中未来发展的关键技术。
Polymer dispersed liquid crystals (PDLC) is an excellent display material which combines the properties of liquid crystal and polymer. The research development of phase separation by thermal process (TIPS), phase separation by solvent evaporation (SIPS), and phase separation by polymerization (PIPS) was reviewed in this paper. The PIPS will be gotten great attention owing it has the virtue of fast polymerization, easy control and preparation. The ultraviolet polymerization, which can control the conversion of polymerization and the morphology of liquid crystal by varying the irradiation intensity and temperature, will be the most attracted technology in PIPS.
