This article reviews the quality control and evaluation of Chinese herbal drug Rhizoma Coptidis on its history,development status and trend,describes the identification of its appearance,internal active components monitoring,fingerprint and bio-potency testing,and provides a reference for the Traditional Chinese Medicine quality control and evaluation.
