The article introduces automatic control system of reactive power realization principle, software structure and practical application, the system can use advanced electronics, communication network and automatic control technology, online receiving power dispatching center allots voltage instructions, automatic reactive power generator for real-time tracking control, which can effectively control area of reactive power, enhance the rational flow of power system stability and security, improve power quality, improve the overall level of power supply, decrease network loss, give full play to the economic benefit of power grid, and reduce the labor intensity of operators.
