视频图像中端至端失真估算的研究

Study on End-to-End Distortion Estimation in Video Image Communication

摘要 视频图像数据量大、压缩码流抗误性低,而现有通信网络的承载能力有限、传输性能不可靠,往往造成解码重建视频图像质量致命性地降低。有效控制信源与信道编码,使端至端失真最小是提高解码重建视频图像质量的关键,而精确的失真估算模型是获得最小端至端失真的前提。对几种典型的端至端失真估算模型进行了简要分析,指出了这些模型中待解决的关键问题并展望了端至端失真估算模型良好的发展前景。 Video image data is large in quantity and low in error-resistance of compressed coding, while the carrying capacity of present communication network is limited and transmission performance is not so reliable, thus resulting in catastrophic deterioration of the received video signals. Controlling the source and channel coding to minimize the end-to-end distortion is the key to improving the objective and subjective quality of received video images, while the precise model of distortion estimation is the prerequisite for achieving minimal end-to-end distortion. In this paper, several typical end-to-end distortion estimation models are analyzed, key problems to be resolved are presented, and the bright future is forecasted.
