摘要
异国形象的文化学解读是当下文化研究的热点问题之一。近代西方对中国人的服装、头发等身体形象的几种表征描述,大都是丑陋滑稽的。西方在文艺复兴与启蒙运动时代赞美过中国人,近代以来却将中国人形象定位于愚昧、肮脏、滑稽,并逐渐成为套语。究其原因不过是为了证明西方文化的价值与优越,并为西方扩张与征服提供意识形态根据。
Interpretation of a foreign culture is the image of contemporary culture.The paper compiles the Chinese body images in the modern domain of the western,such as costumes,hair,and has found most of these quantities are ugly or funny,but in the Renaissance and the Enlightenment,the western has praised China.The reason leading to this change involves the political purpose of colonial plunder.
