摘要
2008年6月,张培基等编著的《英汉翻译教程》第二版终于面世,遗憾的是尽管编者作了一些修正,不少误译与翻译不当依然存在。为了便于定量分析,文章取样教程中第四章第六、七节《重复法》译例为研究对象,总结了译例误译的六个原因与类别。本着与编者商榷的目的,建议编者对其中有争议的译文再加以斟酌,在下一版中进行修订。
Second edition of Zhang Peiji＇s A Course in English-Chinese Translation made its début with high expectations from translation teachers and scholars in June 2008,28 years after first edition＇s publication.Nevertheless,many mistranslations in the first edition are still not corrected.A case study on the examples from Repetition discloses that there are still some mistranslations and these mistranslations can be categorized into six types.A lot of mistranslated examples in the text have been incited as model translation in academic theses in the past three decades,and should be edited in no time to put end to further fallout.
