AbstractThe Hongkong's link exchange rate system has been a focus of economic
discussion, and most of which seems centered on the exchange rate system's reform. The author
analyzed several substitutions to the present system with his conclusion that they are all
impractical in real world. He thus discussed over the adjustment space of the system itself and
held that this problem should be considered with Hongkong's financial system and function
location. Accordingly, he thought the key of the present adjustment on financial system should lie
in the strengthening regulation from the complete freedom.
