摘要
指出元曲中杂剧的英译自18世纪以降未曾间断,相比之下,散曲的翻译和研究显得不足。回顾散曲翻译在国外的代表译家和作品,同时评价国内主要散曲译作,对元散曲的英译爬梳剔抉,以弥补散曲英译研究的空缺,为以后的散曲翻译提供借鉴。
As the leading genre in Yuan Dynasty literature,Qu includes Drama and Sanqu,the former having been translated and studied ever since early 18th century,while the latter attracts little attention and the efforts tend to be neglected.Casting a retrospective eye on those English translations of Sanqu home and abroad,which have remained hidden for so long,is nevertheless a job worth doing,and may hopefully yield some valuable insight for the future translators dedicated to this genre.
