摘要
介绍了光通信网路中应用非常广泛的光纤时域反射计(OTDR)的基本工作原理,主要技术参数及其校准方法;在OTDR的诸多技术参数中只有位置/距离、损耗和中心波长具有计量溯源校准性质,目前对OTDR位置/距离、损耗/衰减的校准方法主要采用标准光纤法,中心波长的校准采用光谱仪直接测量。由于标准光纤法对OTDR的校准状况和实际应用状况相同,因此易于进行量值的传递和比对。文中详细阐述了标准光纤法校准OTDR的技术原理、测量标准设计和组成,给出了测量结果,并对测量结果进行了不确定度分析,该测量标准自建立以来,已为国内多家单位近千台的OTDR提供了校准服务,标准的建立已经获得了较好的经济效益和广泛社会意义。
The basic principle,the key specifications and the calibration method of the Optical Time Domain Reflectometer(OTDR),which are applied largely in the optical network communication are introduced in this paper.Only the position/distance,the loss and the central wavelength can be traced to national standard.The position/distance,the loss can be calibrated by the standard fiber method and the central wavelength can be calibrated by the optical spectrum analyzer.Because of a homologous relationship between the calibration and application of OTDR,the standard fiber method can be used to transfer and compare.The principle of calibration technique by the standard fiber method,the constitute of the measurement standard equipment and the uncertainty of measurement have been described.Hundreds of OTDR have been calibrated by this facility which have brought us the economic and social benefit.
