摘要
The author expresses the following viewpoints: first, only because of moral conflict do people and society need moral rules; second, students have the right and ability to choose and create their own moral life; thirdly, although moral rule can be taught, virtue is not fit to be taught; fourthly, moral education in schools is not the only and best way to teach virtue; fifth ly, although uncertain about the most effective moral education, we are sure that moral education divoiced from students’ moral life does harm to students.
