The 1.0% Au-CuO/Al2O3 catalyst is prepared by incipient wetness impregnation method. The effects of different atom ratio Au to Cu on the activity are investigated by selective oxidation of CO in H2-rich stream. The catalyst can eliminate CO effectively from 1.0 % to 0. 005% at the temperature from30 ℃ to 85 ℃. The stability of the catalyst is test at the temperature of 80℃; the CO conversion and selectivity are maintained for more than 10 h with very slight loss of activity. The catalysts characterization by BET, XRD, UV-vis DRS show that the smaller gold particle is benefit to this reaction.
