摘要
大学英语课程改革将从模式转到内容,已成为学界的共识。笔者认为大学英语课程改革可以作为实现通识教育的一种有效手段和重要途径,但要处理好四个方面的问题:大英课程改革的基本方向、大英课程的地位和任务、通识化教育的课程建设和大英师资队伍建设。
ELT cannot assume the responsibility alone to implement general education, but it will surely work efficiently for its realization on condition that the following four key issues are properly valued : the orientation of college English reform, the position and role of college english education, curriculum development for general education, and college english teachers development.
