移就是指形容词的修饰对象发生转移的一种特殊语言现象。作为一种常见的修辞格,它广泛运用于各种语体。移就的实质是一种语义偏正搭配超常,对它应根据不同的类型采取合适的翻译方法。
This article deals with the type of the Transferred Epithet,it draws a conclusion that Transferred Epithet is a kind of semantic extraordinary collocation,the Transferred Epithet is a special linguistic phenomenon in which adjectives modifying objects make shifting and as a common figure of speech,it is widely used in all kinds of style.This article also gives several appropriate translation methods to this kind of extraordinary collocation.
