摘要
频次作用(frequency effects)是近年二语习得领域的一个热点问题。本研究着重揭示频次作用对二语写作的影响,以期对英语写作教学有所启示。本研究的20名受试在为期九周的时间内重复写作三次。研究结果显示,在频次作用影响下,受试对自己的作文做了内容、结构、语法等多方面的修改,而且作文质量也显著进步。大多数受试认为频次作用对提高写作水平有较大帮助。本研究的结果说明了频次作用对二语写作的积极影响,丰富了有关频次作用的二语习得理论。
Frequency has been a much debated issue recently.This study aims to explore the effects of frequency on L2 writing and to shed light on the teaching of L2 writing.Twenty subjects in the study wrote their argumentative essays on the same topic for three times during a period of 9 weeks.It was found that the subjects made changes in their writing concerning the content,organization and accuracy of the essays and their writing quality improved significantly as the writing frequency increased.Moreover,the majority of the subjects thought positively of the effects of frequency on writing.The results of the study have proved the facilitative role of frequency in L2 writing and enriched the theories on frequency effects in SLA.
