摘要
切斯特曼指出,现有的四种翻译伦理模式反映了完全不同的伦理价值观。所以,他把所有的伦理责任都加诸于译者,因为译者的德性能确保其做出正确的伦理抉择。切斯特曼的职业伦理模式只是把伦理的问题转交给了译者,并没有真正帮助译者走出责任选择的困境。但是,他却为解决翻译中的道德责任冲突提供了思路。本文在分析译者的责任内容及其内在联系基础上,提出了译者责任选择的四项原则,指出虽然译者的德性选择判断可以帮助译者走出责任的困境,但是必须结合具体情境和利益主体的要求才能真正发挥作用。
Chesterman held that four current models of translation ethics highlighted different ethical values which were not compatible.Therefore,he imposed all ethical responsibilities on the translators,and believed the translators＇ virtue would make it possible for them to act ethically.Chesterman＇s ethical model transferred the ethical responsibilities to the translators,instead of providing a way to bring the translators out of the dilemma of responsibilities.However,it provided a potential way out of all ethical conflicts.After analyzing the translators＇ responsibilities and their inherent relations,this article puts forward four principles,following which the translators can probably choose virtuously among their responsibilities,and points out the fact that the translators＇ ethical judgment and moral choice,which can help translators to decide the preferred responsibility,are limited by the social conditions and contexts,as well as the interests of the related subjects.
