摘要
本研究收集学生针对两组不同熟悉程度话题完成的应试作文,采用自动测量方法进行分析,并从中提取出几类与语篇衔接性有关的变量展开统计分析,结果显示:话题熟悉程度未对文本中连接语整体使用产生显著影响,但它对词语重复与照应手段运用均产生显著影响;宏观分析结果揭露出受试写作能力还较为薄弱。
The present study is to explore how cohesion devices are used in essays by a group of non-English major students responding toward a multiple writing task of two types of topics,i.e.,one showing a higher degree of familiarity to the subjects,and the other at a low-level familiarity.The corpora are collected under the testing situation,which are run on Coh-Metrix(2.0),a natural language processing tool,from which the indices measures relevant to text cohesion are elicited and further analyzed through Statistic Package for Social Science(SPSS:16.0).The analysis results show that topic familiarity exerts no significant effect on the overall use of connectives,yet causes a significant difference in both referential indices measure and lexical repetition/reiteration measure.A follow-up,global analysis of the cohesive devices sheds light on the subjects' weakness in writing.
