摘要
张掖大佛寺卧佛殿西游记壁画的发现,曾在学术界引起不小的轰动,对于壁画内容和创作时间的讨论众说纷纭。本文从明代刊本《李卓吾先生批评西游记》的版刻插图入手,对大佛寺取经壁画所绘具体故事内容逐一辨别和分析;并根据明代晚期李评本《西游记》的刊刻时间,结合大佛寺明清两代的重修历史,尝试推证西游记壁画的绘制时间为清代。
This article studies of the mural-painting of the Pilgrimage journey to West found in the hall of rechning Buddha at Dafosi (The Great Buddha Monastery) Zhangye Gansu by making a comparison with the style and composition of engraving illustrations of A Critics Writings on the Pilgrimage journey to West by LI Zhuowu which were printed in the Ming Dynasty. The similarities between the wall-painting and the illustrations of Mr. LI Zhuowu Pi Ping Xi YouJi (A Critics Writings on the Pilgrimage journey to West by LI Zhuowu) had provided much useful details of the wall-painting content. Based a comparison study, this article goes on discussing the date of execution of the wall-paintings at The Great Buddha Monastery in Zhangye Gansu.
