摘要
知识论对于构建图书馆学基础具有重要意义。经典知识论由于个体主义取向的局限性而难以包容图书馆的社会属性,因此有必要在知识论中融合社会维度,由此构成J.H.谢拉提出的"社会知识论"。社会知识论在自身的理论张力中趋向于社会学在经验层面的实证研究而偏离内在固有的知识论目标,因此应当在知识论视野中突出社会交流作为知识的构成要素所应有的本源意义,从而使社会知识论具备足够的哲学深度,以成为图书馆学的"知识论"基础。
Epistemology plays an important role in building the foundation of Library Science. Nevertheless, classical Epistemology limited to individualism is unable to comprehend the social attributes of librarianship. So it' s necessary that social dimension be integrated into Epistemology to constitute "Social Epistemology" as J. H. Shera has put forward. Social Epistenlology bearing theoretical tensions is inclined to sociological positivist research in experience, which departs from the intrinsic epistemological purport. So it' s argued that the social communication endowed with the original significance should be accentuated deservedly as an integral constituent of the nature of knowledge on the epistemological horizon, so as to revitalize Social Epistemology with an adequate philosophical profoundity and be qualified as the foundation of Library Science.
