澳门是东西方文化交汇的中心，在特殊的历史环境中，已形成自己独特的建筑风格，澳门的建筑艺术充分反映出东西方文化的融合。澳门即将回归，其城市发展和建筑文化也必将经历巨大的冲击。机会与挑战并有，澳门的总体景观和建筑面貌将会更加丰富和具有吸引力。
World Architecture warmly welcomes every worker,teacher and student both domestic and foreign in the architectural circle to Beijing and cordially wishes the 20th Union Internationale des Architectes (UIA ) Congress success. In this century, both architectural theory and practice, technology and culture have gone from tradition to modern and reached the synthesis and perfection of architecture, city planning and landscape. ' Athens Chapter' and' Machu Picchu Chapter' are milestones of the construction history of architecture and city. We wish'Beijing Chapter'to be passed by the 20th UIA Congress would be one of the most important chapters in the architectural history in this century.
