摘要
一个计算机网络往往由多层次、异构的多家厂商产品以及不同用户的应用组成。操作系统可能包括所有的主流操作系统。系统结构可以是主机系统、Client/Server系统,Internet/Intranet或几种方式的组合,而网络设备则有各种高端的和低端的产品。随着系统的规模和复杂度的提高,网络失效、性能欠缺、资源配置、安全等问题随之出现。
The importance of network management is clearer as the increasing of the size and the complexity of the network. The computation models of Client/Server and Web require the network management especially. In order to enhance the scalability,flexibility and the interoperability, the network management architecture has evolved from centralized to decentralized or distributed architecture. It also has close relation with the development of the computer network. The drawbacks of centralized architecture is analysed. From the angle of technologies,the distributed architectures are discussed. Also,the effects of Internet on network management architecture are described.
