"羊城新八景"的评选必须做到概念清晰、目的明确、标准严谨、程序民主、运作符合逻辑。评选新"八景"的活动更多体现的应该是文化而不是政绩工程,它的功能是激起人们到广州旅游的动机。当"八景"不能承载城市的变化时,可以考虑用新形式来宣传旅游地新形象。
The selection of "New Top 8 Attractions of Guangzhou" must be conducted democratically and scientifically with clear conception, specified purpose and strict criteria. What this activity intends to show is not vanity project, but the culture which can attract people to visit Guangzhou. New publicity strategies could be used to promote the tourist image when "Top 8 Attractions" fail to embody the changes of the city.
