The installation of online corrosion monitoring system in No. 1 crude distillation unit in SINOPEC Yanshan Petrochemical Company is introduced. The application of this system can provide alarming of corrosion and guidelines for corrosion prevention and monitor the changes of crude oil properties in a timely manner. The collection and analysis of corrosion data will provide a good basis for planning the maintenance and upgrading the materials for equipment.
