摘要
名词审定工作具有规范性、研究性、协调性、长期性等特点。收词、定名和定义及英译等工作都遵循着一定的规范;名词审定工作既要从科技,也要从语言的角度进行研究;学科领域内专家学者之间,名词审定工作者与专家学者之间,各学科之间,人名、地名及语言文字等,都需要进行协调;名词审定工作只有起点,没有终点,既是历史发展的要求,也是科技进步的需要。
Term standardization is a work with characteristics of standardization, research, coordination and long-term. Collecting words, determining the names, definition and translation work should follow a certain standard. The work of term standardization should be researched from science and technology, as well as language. Also, term standardization need a series of coordination between the scholars in the same discipline, between term workers and scholars, between different disciplines, people names and place names, languages, and so on. Term standardization is a work only with a starting point, but no end, and it is not only the requirement of the historical development, but also the need of scientific progress.
