摘要
作为一种特殊形式的翻译,自译和普通意义的翻译可以互为参照,自译研究有助于深入认识翻译本质及其过程。由于策略规律研究是构建自译理论的重要途径,自译策略是研究者目前关注的焦点。本文拟通过对比萧乾自译小说及其"译他"(即对他人作品的翻译)小说双语文本中的叙述信息,试图探讨自译策略的规律性。虽然研究者多认为萧乾的自译策略删减自如,无规律可循,但通过自译双语文本的描写,本文却有了不同的发现。
The inquiries into self-translation, a special instance of translation, may shed light on understanding the essence of translation. Currently the researches on self- translation mainly focus on the regularity of strategies as the investigation into this topic directly paves way to building a theory of self-translation. Seeing this, this research conducts a descriptive study of Xiao Qian＇s self-translated short stories as well as his translations of the works authored by other writers. It aims at investigating the regularity of self-translation strategies. The contrastive analysis of bilingual texts in the paper shows interesting findings.
