摘要
战略理论认为,资源与能力是引致企业竞争优势和绩效差异的重要因素,但鲜有实证研究探讨异质性资源与何种企业能力组合可提升企业绩效的问题。本文通过定量研究分析了资源异质性与资源管理能力不同维度组合对企业绩效影响的效果。数据分析结果表明,资源获取、整合与释放能力维度对资源异质性正向影响企业绩效的作用关系有调节作用,但对不同的"资源特质—绩效"关系影响程度不同。本研究揭示了"资源异质性—企业绩效"关系成立的边界条件和影响因素,对企业管理实践有重要意义。
Considerable attention has been paid to the significant role of resources heterogeneity and firm capabilities in the process of establishing sustainable competitive advantage and firm super performance by both theory researchers and managers.Scholars have argued that resources heterogeneity such as resources' valuable,inimitable,rareness is the foundation of sustainable competitive advantage and super firm performance.Existing theory also argued that firm capabilities are the most important factors that might impact resources and performance relationship.However,there are fewer quantitative empirical studies discuss how to combine specific resources management capabilities with the resources hetero-geneities,so as to improve firm performance greatly.In particular,the influence conditions and mechanisms of resources heterogeneity on firm performance are not clearly explained in previous studies.This study focuses on the moderating role of resources management capabilities between resources heterogeneity and firm performance.We also examine which dimensions of resources heterogeneity contribute the most to firm performance.Based on an overall literature review,we constructed a framework for resources heterogeneity-firm performance quantitative empirical analysis.A survey was conducted to test this framework and hypotheses that proposed out based on it.Using a sample of 315 Chinese firms,we made an in-depth study about the issues that mentioned above.Through data analysis,we found that different resources management capabilities have totally different moderation effect on resources heterogeneity-performance relationships.From the whole view,resources inte-grate capabilities is the most significant moderate factor among those three specific resources management capabilities dimensions(acquire,integrate and release).Data analysis of this paper also show that resources acquire capabilities will significantly moderate relationship between resources valuable and firm financial performance,while all the resources inimitable-firm performances relationships are positively moderated by resources integrate capabilities.It means that the firm should contingency combine its resources management capabilities and hetero-genetic resources according to their own situation and performance improves requirements.Finally,theoretical and managerial implications of this study are discussed.
