摘要
5α-还原酶是雄激素代谢过程中的一种重要酶,此酶可将睾酮转化为活性更强的二氢睾酮,在体内广泛参与雄激素的代谢,发挥着重要的生理作用。该酶的缺陷可以导致局部组织或周身雄激素水平的异常,从而导致多种疾病的发生,如痤疮、雄激素源性脱发、多囊卵巢综合征、男性假两性畸形等。对该酶的研究具有重要的意义。
5α-Reductase,a key enzyme in the metabolic process of androgen, catalyses the irreversible conversion of testosterone (T) to dihydrotestosterone ( DHT), the most active androgen. Two 5α-Reductase isozymes have been identified and they are encoded by SRDSA1 and SRDSA2 respectively. Mutations or overexpression of 5α-reductase genes may cause abnormal androgen level, thus involved in the pathogenesis of many diseases, such as acne, androgenetic alopecia, polycystic ovary syndrome and pseudohermaphroditism. It is of great significance to study the enzyme.
