摘要
低质量指纹图像处理一直是自动指纹识别技术的研究重点,对低质量指纹图像的分割是图像增强、细化和特征提取的重要前提。在分析传统方法局限性的基础上,从指纹图像的灰度分布规律出发,提出了基于点方向图和灰度均衡的指纹图像分割算法。实验结果表明,相比于已有的指纹图像分割算法,该算法的分割效果更好,具有很强的噪声抑制能力。
It is one of the important research emphases to process the fingerprint image with low-quality.Segmenting the fingerprint image with low-quality exactly is an important step for image enhancement,thinning and minutiae extraction in automatic fingerprint recognition system.After analyzing the limitation of given fingerprint image segmentation algorithm,this paper introduces gray distributing rule of the pixels in the fingerprint image and proposes the fingerprint image segmentation algorithm based on point-oriental and gray-balanced.Experimental results indicate that the algorithm has higher segmentation performance than given fingerprint image segmentation algorithms.And it is still acceptable even when the noise is larger.
