摘要
爱尔兰诗人托马斯.摩尔的诗作《夏日最后一朵玫瑰》,堪称西方的"葬花词"。这首优雅感伤的民谣由于其符合中国人的审美,颇受国人喜爱。但译诗之难,众所周知。细究吕志鲁先生的译诗,从具体而微的角度探讨诗歌翻译的方法。忠实是诗歌翻译的根本原则,它包含两层意思:一是外在的忠实:形式上的因袭,意即无韵或押韵的长短句;二是内在的忠实:理解无误,用字准确,意境相同。在不可能绝对忠实的情况下,根据尽量近似的原则,以诗译诗不失为诗歌翻译的良方。
The Last Rose of Summer by the Irish poet Thomas Moore is well-known as the western Taiyu Predicting Her Own Death. The graceful and sentimental ballad caters for the Chinese people＇s taste and gains popularity. It is common sense that verse translation is difficult. A study of Lv Zhilu＇s translation unveils the method of verse translation in great depth. Faithfulness, the basis of verse translation, is the mime of poetic form in blank verse or rhymed lines without, and accurate comprehension, exact phrase, similar artistic conception within. On the vicinity principle,＂Trans- lating verse as verse＂is an effective prescription for verse translation on the premise that complete faith is never possi- ble.
