摘要
关联翻译理论认为翻译是一种交际行为,翻译过程是译者把源语作者的意图准确地传递给译语受体的过程,因此,译者的任务是在二者之间寻找最佳关联。本文旨在运用该理论从语义关联、联想关联和文化关联三个层面探讨奥运主题口号的翻译。
It is believed,in the Relevance Theory,that translation is a communicative act,in which the translator attempts to accurately relate target addressee's expectation to the author's in- tention,that is,to find an'optimal relevance'between the two.In light of this theory,this paper sets out to discuss the translation of Olympic slogans from the perspectives of se- mantic relevance,associative relevance and cultural relevance.
