The Sanhejian Coal Mine, situated in the outer zone of Xuzhou-Shuzhou thrust nappe, is complicated not only in geological structure, but also in the variation of coal seam thickness. The mining layout and operation of the coal mine are greatly influenced by the uncertainty of variation in thickness of coal seams. Based on analyzing the data collected in geological exploration and mining activity, the variation of coal seam thickness is discussed in detail, and the correlation marks for coal seams are as-certained, which are of vital significance for coal-mining operation.
