The characteristics of cadmium in children hair in Se rich area was studied.The results showed significantly higher contents of cadmium existed in children hair,the highest to 2.156×10 -6 . Among nine children with high contents of cadmium(>1.000×10 -6 ) in hair the age distribution was mainly concentrated in seven years old, especially girls. Through analysis of the content relationship between Cd and Zn,Ca and Se in hair, the authors discovered the associated effect of Zn, Ca, Se and Cd, and the former lessened the degree of Cd poisoning.
