This thesis surveyed the dynamic change of thirty-two neonates with serious asphyxiain electrolyte disorder. The result showed that the serum Na+,cl- level had still been presenting a fallingtendency during 1 -3 days of age under normal level and then to reach its peak until the first week of agethe serum Na+,cl- level was close to normal level value. Because the hyponatrenia caused by serious as-phyxia was of dilution and the total number of sodium was not reduced,to limit water should be taken butn0t positive to supply Na+. The level of serum Ca2+ was gradually increased from low in birthborn to nor-mal level during the first week 0f age. Significant change of serum K+,Mg2+ level had not been found.Though proper supply Na+,Cl- to 6 out of 32 patients with obvious low serum sodium and chlorine,signif-icant effect could not be discovered.
