The 9th workshop on human rights held by the State Council Information Office （SCIO） opened in Nanjing, in east China＇s Jiangsu Province, on August 23. More than 60 officials from across the country and central government agencies par- ticipated in the training course, which lasted four days. SCIO Vice Minister Dong Yunhu attended the opening cer- emony and gave a speech.
