摘要
我国英语教育开展百余年来,国人所使用的英语教材发展经总结可分为五个阶段:一、晚清:依赖引进、编译国外教材;二、民国:国内自编教材迅速发展;三、建国-1970s:教材青黄不接和政治化;四、改革开放-19908:教材多样化和系列化;五、21世纪:教材的繁荣时代:和立体化。文章结合历史背景、教育政策及教学法沿革等因素,对各阶段代表性教材进行列举和评析,重现了我卤英语教材发展的历史画面,并阐述历史对未来教材发展的启示意义。
By referring to historical background, English education policies and ELT theories, etc., this paper reviews the 150 - year history of English textbooks used in China and sums them up in five historical periods: 1. The late Qing Dynasty (1840 - 1911): relying on introducing, translating or adopting foreign textbooks; 2. Republic of China (1912 - 1948) : rapid development of textbooks compiled by Chinese scholars; 3. The founding of People's Republic of China (1949) till the 1970s: temporary shortage and politicization of English textbooks; 4. China's reform and openingup (1978) till the 1990s: diversification and serialization of English textbooks; 5. 21st century: English textbooks' enjoying a boom and going three-dimensional. With lessons drawn from the history, the paper suggests four directions that ELT materials might go in future.
