摘要
模因是文化的基本单位,靠复制和传播而生存。从模因论视角,翻译活动是通过语言进行模因复制和传播的过程。品牌名称翻译质量的好坏至关重要。文章认为品牌名称及其翻译属于模因,分析品牌名称译语模因传播路径,恰当运用依附、顺应、情感等翻译策略,将有助于译者翻译出地道规范的品牌名称译语,有利于打造品牌名称译语强势模因,以加快品牌名称的复制与传播,助力品牌国际影响力的提升。
Meme is the basic unit of the culture and it survives by copying and transmitting. From the memetic perspective, language translation is a process of memetic reproduction and transmission. It is very important whether the translation of brand name is in a good quality or not. Both the brand name and its translation belong to meme. It will be of a help to analyze the transmitting paths of the brand name meme , to use proper translating strategies such as attaching strategy, adapting strategy and emotion strategy so as to speed up meme's copying and transmitting as well as. to help improve the international influence of the brand.
