摘要
RDA(资源描述与检索)作为全新的国际著录标准,经过测试已进入实用阶段。文章分析了RDA在著录过程中的利与弊,肯定了RDA信息量大、兼容性强、应用领域广的优点,同时也揭示了新标准的缺点,如范例不足、缺乏参照、信息重复、信息量过杂以及选择性过多等,并从编目人员和读者的角度探讨了制定编目规则标准时应考虑的一些重要因素。
As a new international description standards, RDA has entered the practical stage after being successfully tested. This article makes an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of RDA in description. The advantages of RDA can be summarized as quantitative information, strong capability, wide range, etc. , while its disadvantages can also be systemized as inadequacy of cases, shortage of references, repetition of information, miscellaneous items of information, too many of alternatives. The author makes a probe into the important factors in the compilation of standards in description from the perspective of descriptors and readers.
