摘要
网络文学是在20世纪80年代伴随着计算机网络技术的发展而出现的一种新的文学形态。西方学者对网络文学的研究始于20世纪90年代初,一直延续到现在,并呈现出日益壮大的趋势。由于起步较晚,对网络文学的研究无论在西方还是在我国都是一个较新的课题。本文按时间顺序对该课题在西方的研究状况进行了比较全面的概括,对其主要研究成果进行了较为详尽的总结和评述,力求比较全面地反映当代西方网络文学研究的新成果、新特点、新趋势。
With the development of the computer and Intemet technology, there appeared a new literary form -- computer-based literature in the 1980s. The research and studies carried out by Western scholars started in the early 1990s and has continued till today with a tendency of speedy increase. It is supposed to be a rather new subject to both Western and Chinese scholars due to the relatively late flourish of this genre. This paper, according to time sequence, makes a comprehensive summary and an overall review of the important achievements in the study of the computer-based literature in Western academic circle, aiming to introduce the new achievements, features, and trends in this field.
