摘要
关于澳大利亚英语的性质,国内外有学者认为它是一门搬来的语言或移植语言。本文在"语言接触引发语言演变"理论的基础上,从移植、借用和创造三方面入手分析了澳大利亚英语的形成,并探讨其性质。文章指出,澳大利亚英语是一门基于英国英语,借用土著语、移民语言和美国英语,并结合澳洲环境创造澳大利亚本土语而发展起来的综合性、多元化语言。澳大利亚英语的形成反映了语言接触引起的语言演变。
As regards the nature of Australian English, it is generally believed that it is a language transported or transplanted. The present paper, based on the language contact theory, analyzes the origin of Australian English in the light of transplanting, borrowing and coining and discusses its Origin. It holds that Australian English is a diversified language developed from British English and borrowings from Aboriginal languages, immigrant languages and American English as well as coinages that suit the unique Australian environment. Australian English well reflects the language change as impacted by language contact.
