The humidity sensitive mechanism of porous semiconductive ceramics is analysed quantatively.We classified the humidity into high humidity and low humidity.A theoretical model was presented in low humidity range.As a result we have got an analytic expression of the relation between resistance and relative humidity.In the low humidity area,electron coductance is dominant.We assume that the absorbing surface states(ASS) are constructed by absorbed oxygen ions.When a water molecule is absorbed on ASS,a free electron is simultaneusly emitted into the bulk conduction band.Using the method of statistical thermodynamics to deduce this process,we have got the relation between resistance and relative humidity.
