摘要
通过扩充农业服务体系的规模和范围、构筑组织体系的基本框架,以及拓展服务内容,赠地学院为美国农业服务体系的发展提供了组织和制度保障。在此过程中,赠地学院不仅完善了大学的社会服务职能,实现了大学教学、科研与社会服务等三大职能的有机统一,还开创了单科性农学院向世界一流大学转型的路径。中国涉农高校可借鉴赠地院校的经验,完善农业教育、科研与推广系统协同创新机制,拓展农业教育的内涵,延伸农业教育和科学研究的活动边界,以适应社会发展。
The Land-grant Colleges provided an organizational and institutional foundation for the agricultural service system of the US through extending this system's scopes ,constructing its organizational framework and en- riching its contents. In this process, Land-grant Colleges improved university's social service function and the or- ganic union of teaching, researching and social service functions within the university. Furthermore, the Land- grant Colleges paved a road on which the agriculture colleges transformed to the world-class universities. The Chi- nese colleges and universities related to agriculture can learn more from the experiences of Land-grant Colleges to meet the needs of social development, such as completing collative innovation mechanism composed of agricultural education, research and extension institutions, extending the connotation of agriculture education and spreading boundaries of agricultural education and research.
