摘要
最近几年,心血管疾病的死亡率和致残率仍在上升,但是理想的治疗手段并没有跟上。研究人员已经把目光转移到了心血管疾病的信号通路的研究中,来寻找新的治疗靶点。其中一个重要的机制是细胞自噬,其对于细胞的正常生长很重要,同时也与一些疾病的发生有密切关系。总的来说,自噬是一把双刃剑。我们面临的最大挑战就是如何调控自噬来达到治疗的目的。
It is widely accepted that morbidity and mortality of heart diseases continues at a growing pace and novel therapies have fallen behind. In recent years, investigators have focused a great deal of attention to the signaling pathways involved in heart diseases, which may become the next novel therapeutic targets for heart disease. Autophagy, a double-edged sword, is essential for normal cell growth but is also involved in disease pathogenesis. The biggest challenge is how to appropriately regulate autophagy for therapeutic gains.
