摘要
美国副总统戈尔关于“数字地球”的演讲引起许多国家政界、学术界的关注。基于“数字地球”的概念 ,在全球信息数字化过程中 ,3维地理信息系统起着重要作用。由于空间对象和 3维 GIS的复杂性 ,在处理各种空间现象时 ,如地质现象的表示和矿山应用 ,宜根据实际应用的需要 ,采用不同的数据结构和可视化方式 ,包括 2维、2 .5维、3维的以及它们的结合 ,以取得良好效果和效益。
The “Digital Earth” speech by U.S. Vice president Al Gore has been paid much attention from the politicians and scientists in many countries of the world. In this paper, following a discussion on the basic conceptions of the “digital earth”, some issues within 3D GIS which plays an important role in promoting global information digitization are investigated. With the complexity of a 3D GIS, a reasonable and feasible solution is offered by adaptable data structures in accordance with the requirements of the given case. It is especially necessary for geological information representation and mine usage of GIS technique. In order to achieve a quick and reliable access and representation to the 3D objects or parts of them, several basic formats of 2D, 2.5D and 3D data structures and their integration should be adopted in practical applications of GIS technology.
