摘要
悲剧是文学的最高形式。黑格尔的悲剧伦理学认为悲剧可以归纳为冲突与和解。小说《早秋》(Early Autumn)是美国著名诗人兰斯顿.休斯的一篇短篇小说。主人公玛丽和比尔年轻时曾经相爱,多年以后,俩人在广场偶遇。玛丽希望和比尔重归于好,玛丽个人来看,这是合情合理的,也是不可避免的。但是她的片面性主张与社会伦理形成了不可调和的冲突。最终玛丽收到了比尔的无情对待。矛盾由此获得了和解,永恒的正义获得了保存!
Tragedy is the highest form of literature. According to Hegel＇s theory, contradiction and so- lution are two major components of a tragedy. Early Autumn is a short story of Langston Hughes, a fa- mous American poet. When Mary was young, she was once deep in love with Bill. Many years later, when they met each other in the central square, Mary was still deep in love with Bill, but Bill was indif- ferent to her. Mary＇s dream and aim was reasonable and inevitable. However, her aim was contradictory to the social rules. In the end, Mary was taken away by her bus without telling Bill that her youngest son was also named Bill. The contradiction was thus solved. And the eternal justice was preserved.
