摘要
语言是文化的载体,又是文化的组成部分。学习一门外语的过程,也是了解和掌握该国家文化背景的过程。掌握其文化背景知识的程度直接影响语言知识的运用能力。本文主要从日常交际用语、社会风俗与礼仪、历史文化内涵三方面论述了文化差异对英语教学的影响,强调了文化差异的不可忽视性。
Language is the carrier of culture and cultural component. Learning a foreign language is a proeess of understanding and mastering cultural background of a nation. To master its cultural background knowledge direetly influences the ability of utilization of language knowledge. This article mainly discusses the effects of cultural differences on English teaching from daily communication languages, social customs and etiquette and historical culture, and emphasizes the importance of cultural differences as well.
